Chatsworth House to Edensor village

A short loop from the house to the estate village the 6th Duke had rebuilt out of sight of his windows in the 1830s. The churchyard holds the graves of Joseph Paxton and of Kathleen Kennedy, sister of the US president.

The route

  1. From the car park cross the river on the main drive and turn west across the park towards the church spire.
  2. Enter Edensor by the lodge gate, walk up through the village to the church and the tea room.
  3. Return over the parkland on any of the grass paths that aim for the house.
